Thanks to everyone posting messages. I can't believe the news and can't stop crying. Though he's been sick for a while, his passing was unexpected. We knew it could be anytime but it's still a shock. The last time I saw him was a week ago Sunday and had a wonderful visit and I'm thankful for the time we spent together recently.
I urged Michael to post his health condition here but he kept saying "I still have hope." That's why his upcoming concerts were still posted too.
It sounds like there won't be a formal service but maybe a musical celebration instead.
Michael recently gave me all of his cassettes, reel-to-reel tapes and CDs and made me his #1 archivist. It's truly an honor he bestowed on me. He wanted more of his music released. He has beautiful demos. I've been listening to them in the car and they take my breath away. I'm slowly going through them but not being in the music biz, I don't have the knowledge of how to go about it at this time.
Thanks for your kind words.
