concert in Indianapolis, IN
I would just like to say that I really enjoyed the concert this past Sat. night (Nov. 17) in Indianapolis. It was really a treat to see and hear you perform. You are truly one of the great artists of our time. Simply watching (and hearing) you play guitar is mind-blowing. Question: and maybe Cindy can answer this for me: you did a song in which one of the verses speaks of the man who wrote "Amazing Grace", John Newton, and the chorus goes something like: "I am so lonely" . . . and then the voices below (slaves) in the bowels of the ship sang: "We are so lonely" . . . What is the name and/or origin of that song that you sang? Thanks again for a superb performance!
