Re: MP3 requests?
In Response To: Re: MP3 requests? ()

Mike, many thanks for your list. As to rights, Michael may not own the rights to any of these. An exception may be the Minnesota Public Radio selections (#8 & 10). We may get away with putting a few of these up on his web site, but certainly not on a CD. And some of these are still available for purchase, so these definitely cannot be made available here.

1. HILLS - I asked him a few years ago if I could put up a clip. He said absolutely not!

2. TAKE ME TO TOMORROW
3. THE 68 NIXON
Along with #18, I'm pretty sure he doesn't have clean, if any, recordings of these. I could ask if I should make an MP3 of what I have, but you can barely hear Michael in either of these songs.

4. JACQUES COUSTEAU
5. EMPTY HEARTS
6. ONE STEP AHEAD OF THE BAD NEWS
7. RIVER COLORADO
I'll ask on these. I'd especially would like Jacques Cousteau added.

8. BRISTLECONE PINE (Recorded Live 9/29/92)
10. UPON A CHRISTMAS EVE (Recorded Live 12/15/88)
I'll ask.

9. LIFE AFTER YOU
Isn't this still still available from Fingerstyle Guitar?

11. GHOST IN THIS HOUSE (Recorded Live 4/25/90) (From "FolkScene Collection III" Collection)
No - this is still available for purchase.

12. FULL MOON OF APRIL
13. MONA RAY
14. PLACES AND OLD FRIENDS
(All With Mark Henley) (From Mark Henley's "Riversong")
I'll ask. #12 is beautiful.

15. ONE MILE APART (Duet With Karen Taylor-Good)
No - this is still available on Karen's web site: http://www.karentaylorgood.com/cds.htm

16. CLOUDS WITHOUT HANDS (Duet With Nanci Griffith)
(From Nanci Griffith's "Roses on the 4th of July")
That's actually Clock Without Hands. And that's the album title. The song is "Roses on the 4th of July". This CD is available for purchase.

17. A LITTLE SNOW STARTS TO FALL AGAIN (With Leo Kottke)
18. REACHING OUT THEME
19. A CHANGING WORLD
I doubt any of these would be put up. By the way, has anyone besides me heard #18?

20. DON'T LET IT GO TO YOUR HEART
21. AS LONG AS WE'VE GOT EACH OTHER
I'll ask.

Thanks for the list, Mike!
