a song for you from and old friend

Hi Michael,

Greetings from San Francisco. Was listening to Wings the other day having unpacked it from storage and it struck me to find you on the web. Came across the article by Kandy Crosby and she wondered what you wanted for Christmas. I was thinking you might like to have a song that I wrote with my friend and frequent collaborator, Nancy Schimmel (Malvina Reynolds' kid). It's titled "Mrs. Claus"...Nancy did the lyrics, I did the music. Anyway, it's cute as can be and right up your alley I think. Would be nice for your Christmas Eve show in Minnesota.
Let me know where I could send you the sheet.

I send regards from some of your West Coast friends. I work with Nina Gerber every now and then. Laurie Lewis. My current project, closest to my heart at least, is a full length musical I have composed about a girl who lived in San Francisco in 1806 and fell in love with a Russian Explorer...it's kind of a Heloise and Abelard thing...a light operetta although I call it a musical so that I can hope to get it produced. I've done lots of kids music with a group I used to have, The Singing Rainbow. Mostly ecology education stuff. The Buffalo Philharmonic will premiere a whole hour of Nancy's and my stuff for Earth Day this spring. The songs are taken from our recordings, All In This Together and Head First and Belly Down. Anyway, I just wanted to touch base with you. Still love the sound of your voice and must catch up and get some of these new recordings. Glad to know you are well and prospering and if work ever brings you out to San Francisco, would love to have a chance to give you the tour. It's truly a wondrous place. I moved here in '84 and am totally mad about The City. Love it like one loves people...kind of weird but nice. Anyway, let me know if you'd like to take a look and listen to Mrs. Claus....I'll send you a package. Take care and again, it's great to hear you again. Candy
