Memorial service at the Dakota
I'm listening to Michael's beautiful voice singing through my cellphone speaker and thinking back on the beautiful memorial service that I attended today at the Dakota in Minneapolis. It was a very touching and emotional service with many tears but also lots of laughter. It was so nice that Michael's sister, brother, nephew and daughter were all there and gave touching and insightful eulogies. I appreciate everyone who went up and spoke giving their personal stories of remembrance. Hearing Michael's songs played was heart wrenching. It really felt like he was there singing in person. I have thoroughly enjoyed so many concerts of Michael's. It's so hard to believe I'll never be able to see him live in concert ever again. But, we are all so lucky to be able to forever enjoy listening to his recorded music. He gave all such a gift with his beautiful music!
