Our hearts are heavy

Michael represents so much of our life. Concerts in college at Augustana College, concerts when our son was at Gustavus. Playing at our festival, "Rhythm of the River" in Jackson.
We were honored to meet him so many years ago, after his music had made a permanent impression on our hearts. We talked of bicycling across Minnesota, and then later, talked about his daughter playing the harp. Ironically, it is the same Harp that I play. A Dusty Strings 36S. Michael was so overwhelmed with the blessing of getting to know her. It was an honor to talk to him about that.
I wanted him to play for my 50th birthday, but he wasn't feeling well 10 years ago. As I look at my 60th birthday, I had considered asking him again to play for my birthday gathering. I will toast to him at that event, and know that he is resting well under 'The Bristlecone Pine'.
Love and respect to all who love and miss him.
Always in our hearts,
