My heart aches at this news. I fell in love with Michael's music back in the 70s from an LP called "There Is A Breeze". I have all of his work and adore it. I got to meet him here in the Nashville area for my 50th birthday party 14 years ago. We were instant friends. So much so that on one of his gigs he sat at my table with me to watch the performer that opened for him.
His music is more than that to me. It is a memory. It is a wonderful feeling as he felt and expressed what I was feeling. He was my brother!
I am sad knowing there will be no new Michael Johnson recordings but happy to know he is playing the highest coffee house available. I miss your music. I miss your story telling. I miss you! :-(
