one of the best
I met Michael one Saturday morning at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, 1973. He was trying to get into the women's gym to set up for a concert and couldn't find an open door. I had no idea who he was, but I showed him the unlocked, side entrance. That night, I went to a concert with a friend and there he was on stage. I was blown away and have been an avid fan ever since.
Saw him three years ago in Glenwood Springs, CO. The velvet voice was still there and guitar work that reminds you just why the instrument was made.
Goodbye, soulful troubador. Your music lives on.
