What a terrible loss

Michael Johnson will always remain one of the most underrated and under appreciated gifted performers that ever held a guitar and sat before a microphone. I was in awe of his guitar skills and just loved the tenor of his voice. Many years ago, he was on a solo tour that brought him to a place called Rick's Day Hollow Inn, Owego, NY. I had the unbelievably good fortune not only to sit just a few feet away and watch him and listen to him perform flawlessly in a truly intimate setting, but as he concluded the show, he pointed to a pool table near the back of the venue and asked if anyone wanted to shoot some pool. You better believe I did. He was a pure talent, a gentleman, a virtuoso, a gifted songwriter and among the best that's ever been. He has been given his wings much too soon.
